Because I don’t have a lot of time at the moment, I’ll share my heart and prayer…
Thank you, God. Thank you for blessing me with the peace and purity that comes with knowing a new little person and being his and his siblings’ momma during such weird times. Times that should, by all accounts and precedent, be getting easier and more straightforward but instead get more confusing; times in which people are simultaneously more abrupt, unruly, outspoken but also scared, humble and privately searching. I suppose it all makes me rely on You all the more. I pray this for others as well and hope they follow you. When what we feel is emotional noise, and overwhelmingly so, let us lift our hearts and minds to You.
Y’all, find some joy and normalcy. Like I tell my ever bickering kiddos, there are very few things worth fighting for. If you find that something, fight with all you have, with your heart and brain and physical being if necessary, and if not, find the joy and blessing in it, find your work and place in it.
